im struggling to get any source mod to work on my server is it due to the fact its hosted through GameServers? im not 100% where to put the files to work?

you need ftp access to your server files. When you have access you need upload the files to the game folder, set right config for the right game_mode and game_type and restart the server.

But, long time ago i had a gameserver by Gameservers and i had not completly permission for uploading some files. Example; i could not upload .dll files. Ticket opened but came not further than some suck answer. So i took a dedicated server and i can do what i want.
