First of all, thank you for putting this guide together. It has been extremely helpful in helping to get a dedicated server setup. When most things are geared towards Windows, I'm glad someone who has the knowledge to make this sort of thing happen is willing to share it.
I have been able to get a dedicated Insurgency server running, but it is running in Windows. My goal has been to get it working on an iMac running El Capitan. And despite this guide, I've still been unsuccessful.
The latest hurdle I've hit is getting the following error:
#System (VMaterialSystem080) failed during stage
Here's what I am running and the full output (hostname and username changed from original):
<hostname>:InsurgencyDS <user>$ ./srcds_run -game insurgency -steamcmd_script /Volumes/Storage/InsurgencyDS/insurgency/cfg/server.cfg -ip 0.0.0.0 -port 27016

0.677 WARNING: 140: This application, or a library it uses, is using the deprecated Carbon Component Manager for hosting Audio Units. Support for this will be removed in a future release. Also, this makes the host incompatible with version 3 audio units. Please transition to the API's in AudioComponent.h.

0 EST 2016: Server Quit
If anyone can assist with this I would greatly appreciate it. I'd rather not have to continue to run the dedicated server on Windows, because... well, it's Windows. Great for games, not great for servers
