No matter how and where i set "sm_vacbans_action", the game keeps on banning players. I don't want that, I want just the notification to admins.

I've set it in console, in server_checkpoint.cfg, and even made a file under addons/sourcemod/config/vacbans.cfg.

Maybe i must recompile it with different settings...

Look for the file cfg/sourcemod/vacbans.cfg. That's where you should be changing setting.

This plugins worked on my insurgency server. Thanks. Have to edit cfg/sourcemod/vacbans.cfg to prevent auto ban. bans shows in sourcebans++.

The whitelist is stored in the database named by the sm_vacbans_db setting. It is the default local sqlite database by default.

I'm aware that this plugin isn't quite actively developed, just a couple things I'd like to point out:

Across only 2 servers, this plugin is creating 54 mysql processes, seems a bit excessive?

A possible addition: Detecting game bans, along with VAC bans
