Does changing a CS:GO server's process priority make much of a difference or give the server a significant performance boost?

Priority doesn't really do any affect on srcds, I've test it before.

If you use windows, try disable c1,c3,c6 and eist settings from bios, this will increase performance while boost cpu clock speed.

Don't set cpu affinity or process priority unless:
-You have enough cores to evenly spread out your srcds instances across the cores, without any cores ever being topped.
-You have other background services that, when run, may degrade performance (file copy, database, etc). Generally, you will run these other proccesses at below-normal proccess priority IN ADDITION to below-normal I/O priority.

If you are using windows server, you may want to think about installing the resource management service, and setting up a profile to balance memory/io/cpu for your tasks... Rather than just setting priorities and affinities. The os generally handles affinity on its own quite well.

I was just curious because my host has the option to have a high CPU priority for my server. Just wanted to see if it would be worth it.
