I guess it's nice to get something for free when it's not against policies that is. I however also pay for my fastdl server which gives me a higher standard and well I know it's generally gonna work since its just for that.

You are being very narrow minded when you say this. FYI.
Ah ok. that statement wasn't meant as user only costs. Yes true some one at some point has to pick up the financial slack. Most freeware development is dependent on donations or the selling of an other(better) product. Time is money but not always. Some people willingly develop something without pay for their time.

Over all I don't give a crap about the big picture since viewing it deeply won't make a difference. Companies will still do what ever they choose regardless of how many angles you look at it so why bother considering the big picture. As long as its free for me, I don't care about the rest of it. Someone else can eat the cost. I don't really care who or how.

It still works. I just tested it a few minutes ago.

Please tell me how to get this thing off of https. Also, when was the last time to clicked the get link button on the web page? I clicked it last night and it triggered the switch over to https. The link(using regular http) that worked for me was created before they made changes to their web UI.

I didn't ask if you changed anything. I only asked if you clicked the share link button in recent months.

My problem is it imposed a change without choice when I clicked the share link button.

My public link ****

EDIT: Root directory of your FastDL link (****gives me an Error (404) We can't find the page you're looking for..... when I copy and paste it into my browser's address bar

Nobody can browse through my directories. You can only download the files through a direct link.

Then how are you using that as FastDL if the root is not public?

sv_downloadurl value has to reflect the game servers root

FastDL does not require Directory Index to be enabled for it to work. I use another CDN provider that doesn't have Directory Index functionality and it works just fine. HLDS/SRCDS sends the exact file path to the client for the download, it does not search.
