So I installed this onto a multi-gamemode server of mine since some of the gamemodes requires SteamTools instead (which is fine since steamworks has a plugin that converts SteamTools calls into SteamWorks calls), but one of the gamemodes I have is no longer able to change the game description. Same going for the other gamemodes that uses SteamTools.

Even after removing or disabling the plugin, and I'm not sure why it still won't work

Any update to this?
My CS:S server crashes instantly with this enabled, and I've tried different SteamWorks extensions from here:

I downgraded to an older version from the archives, and now it works.

nevermind, older versions allow me to change the game description, but the server crashes on join.

You can used this extensions for csgo game description. Simply put "sv_gamedesc_override <custom-name>" but this is only for Linux.
This is also work with CS:S
