So, I run an L4D server with the custom campaign "I Hate Mountains". I also use the L4D stats plugin. Apparently someone managed to get the map to switch to one of the stock campaigns at one point, and stats for that campaign has shown up. It seems the maplist and mapcycle files don't do anything in L4D. Is there a way to block specific maps from running? I only want the IHM campaign to run so only stats from that are recorded.

Good question, I've been trying this before and indeed when a lobby joins they choose the map to play. I've been trying to delete the maps that I don't want to run, it worked but then the server crashed when a lobby wanted to connect on a map that I deleted.

So I guess the only way is to not allow lobby's and delete all other maps.

you could probably brute force it with map configs..

for every map you dont want to play, create a config file and put a changelevel <mapname> in it... i guess in this case it would be changelevel l4d_ihm01_whateverthefirstmapis

you want to use changelevel, cuz map kicks people.

map configs go in cfg/maps folder (u prol will have to create it)
they also have the same name as the map file with .cfg extension.

So, for example, I'd create a l4d_airport01_greenhouse.cfg file in the cfg/maps folder and in that file, I'd put:

and l4d_ihm01_l4d_ihm01_forest would run automatically when l4d_airport01_greenhouse runs?

Well, that didn't work. I set up those cfg files in the cfg/maps folder, then I created a lobby, brought down the console and used the command so that when I connect via lobby, it goes to my server. I selected No Mercy and it successfully went into my server with No Mercy running. It was my understanding that with those cfg files, if anyone tried connecting with the campaigns, it would change.

Anyone else got a solution to this?

Instead of changelevel l4d_ihm01_forest, try sm_map l4d_ihm01_forest in that cfg file.

visual77 you wouldnt wanna do a map command because that will kick everyone.

and as for my original response, i wasnt sure if it would work, but dont see why it wouldnt. it must have to do with the time the config is executed.
