I dont understand why people want new theme, this is fine. As it was said before, this is a forum so this theme is good. Making it black will make forum looks crazy and obviously keep as it is, is the best option.

Performance x Design

I do not like to change to other style, if compared to performance with this default has.
If it to make more readable and easy in forums i agree, if only it for change the style i prefer to maintain actually design.

Just did this in like 10 minutes, all the time I had now but performance + design, performance can always upgrade pieces of code, that's why it's called improvement. but Nonetheless, since I'm not the programmer then I have no reason to say anything.. Here is a small look of how I suggested.

Seems that you're a follower afterall, you see.. people seem to forget that standing out is better than going with the the everyone else. As they say, the content is what matters & I made that because I wanted to show what it would seem like with the face of alliedmodders so don't be so quick to judge, and overall it is a clan if you haven't noticed, in it's own way but then most people don't seem to look it at that way.

I personally hate those designs. This forum is 100% for functionality, not fancy designs. It seems you are a fan of that crap that people are calling "Windows 8".

And sure needs a change after countless years. No, completely the opposite actually, I understand quite well of designing and it's functionality but apparently some people are too quick to judge others and make false assumptions even when it won't matter, either way. trash this as people are arrogant for an opinion.
