pfft. vBulletin reached version 5.

Sometimes, i see that the forums goes offline/website doesnt work while all sites worked.

I dunno if it goes for maintenance, but it goes offline for 1 min, and it comes back again.
same goes with amxmodx.org

all other sites that i enter works good.

It's unrelated to the forum, the software that powers the plugin stats likes to run away with the server resources.

VBulletin had an extremely sharp rise in prices between version 3 and 4, which is why many, MANY sites stuck with 3. Hell, I know at least one site that (last I checked) was running some 3.6 version.

Also, I didn't think VBulletin 5 was out yet.

ROFL. anyways, the forums alliedmods is using isn't bad.

It's working great, the theme is great, everything is good.


Some people might want a new theme since this got boring for them.
They need a new color, rather than blue.


anyways, i feel it will be a pain in the as* if the admins are going to re-design it again, since it needs a lot of work and effort..

Also, If they make a new theme, it might have errors, and then waste their time.

Honestly I've been coding website a lot and I see no reason to ( for new website owners that want forum and such) use such a script. The miracle PHP, MySQL + a little html and css can create is unbelievable and can definitely be much more simple and secure and get just much more out of it, but that's for someone who's starting a new one, this was just an opinion.

About the website going down, that's definetly either on your site or host, Alliedmodders has never been down for me.

The concern is much more the improvements / time tradeoff. Up until this point 3.x has served our needs and been fully supported.

Time and effort into is absolute if it's to make something better, renewal is great. I first came to Allied in 09, If I believe correctly all these years have been the same, at least since 09, nothing too intense just a little movement around to help get the forum moving as well.
