Hello everybody, I am facing a problem with the setinfo _pw, when I walk into my setinfo _pw some servers is stolen.

My question is if there is any way to protect myself so that my passwords are not stolen again.

Yeah realdiegodias, I face the same. Maybe they can develop a plugin to remove the cvar file config.cfg and should work, just think, should test.

But I think the only solution would be to use admin only Steamid and/or IP.

Maybe.. It's not possible. It's totally handled client-side.

Read the documentation in amxx.cfg. Although, you should ONLY be using SteamID for admin authentication anyways.

What is handled client-side? The only thing happening client-side is the holding of the information. I think you should read the amxx.cfg documentation also (unless you use SteamID like everyone should).

Change the setinfo key if you just use it over SteamID's

I know I can use a SteamID, but has some admins that need passwords, as some have younger brothers who play.

Then, use setinfo in combinaison with password, then other server can steal the pw, but nobody is able to get any admin access because steamid won't match, only setinfo.

For example there would be question for those who have a brother and plays with a nickname for admin/password. However, forum does not support 'no-steam'.

You clearly did not understand what Connor said. Is solution is the best solution. Nobody said anything about 'no-steam'.

Who owns steam, need for admin username/password? What would be the point in the case here? That's what I mean..

The OP clearly explained why he needed it and never said anything about 'non-steam'. The solution proposed by Connor requires Steam and that is the only solution that will be offered here.
