What? That makes no sense. Neither of these plugins are "basic". If you're actually trying to say that you want to use fewer plugins then you are very mistaken as to what that would actually achieve (nothing). There is no good reason to take the code from one plugin and put it into another plugin unless there is significant changes to functionality that need access to internal variables (though this can be done via dynamic natives also).

I want to leave the prefix in because I think it's better, plus it's less plugins I have to check, among other things.

That is the worst reason ever. It makes managing your server harder when you want to make changes in the future. The whole point of the plugin concept is to keep separate functionality modular in separate plugins. There is no reason to combine them.
