I would like to submit a request that could be fulfilled on of two ways.

Option 1: A separate Category for L4D2 specific plugins (even if they are redundantly listed on the L4D1 Category.)

Option 2: Much more simple - A required Uniform Plugin Naming Scheme.

Personally, I prefer this these
These tags are on the vast majority:
[L4D]
[L4D2]
[L4D & L4D2]

However currently there are several versions to denote usage for L4D1 and L4D2

These are on a few:
(no tag present)
L4D
L4D:

This is the wide variety of tags for mixed capable plugins:
[L4D & L4D2]
Left 4 Dead (and L4D2)
[L4D - L4D2 ]
[L4D(2)]
L4D/L4D2
[L4D/2]
[L4D/L4D2]
[L4D1/2]
[L4D2 + L4D]

It really isn't difficult to create a standard for tagging the plugins and every plugin in the list could quickly be altered to fit the scheme.

I'm only suggesting it because the list looks sloppy and is sometimes hard to sort or quickly find a plugin because the name column sorts based on the tag first.

Also, there are several plugins that are only tagged for L4D that function without flaw in L4D2 and have been reported to work. It would be wonderful to see the name updated to alert others so they can make and educated decision about whether they want to use them or not.
