Hi Guys,

I have a very odd issue on my Zombie Escape server. I have no errors in the error log to explain why this happens and I have done testing on a few different versions of Sourcemod and Metamod as well. Unfortunately nothing has helped. Initially I had a clientprefs MySQL database and on the first round after a map change it would not load the clientprefs for various plugins that use them (Zombie:Reloaded and Credit Store). I tried moving from a MySQL database to SQlite to see if that fixed the issue...no luck. It's become fairly annoying and I have nothing to go on. I can only say that after the first round has come and gone, the data then loads properly and everything goes back to normal. It does create a side-effect that the zmarket property on Zombie:Reloaded is cleared and reset to the default options.

I have two other servers that use the Credit Store and clientprefs...and neither of them have this issue at all. If anyone wants to help me figure this issue out, please let me know what information you need. Thanks guys!

I have tested this issue on both 1.4.1-stable (Sourcemod) / 1.8.7-stable (Metamod) and 1.5.0-dev (Sourcemod) / 1.9.0-dev (Metamod).

I heard some theories that clientprefs has trouble loading on the first round if the server is under heavy usage. Is this true even with sqlite? If so, is there a way to fix this issue?

Hey guys, I don't think this is just clientprefs. It looks like it's a massive delay on first round when the server changes maps. It took away even admin for about 20-40 seconds then it all kicks back in. Not exactly sure what plugins out of the ones listed above could do something like that. Any ideas?

I had the same problem a few weeks back. Lots of plugin loaded only 40 seconds after the first round started.

I'm affraid not, I do have disabled clientprefs (to fix regular crashes). Maybe since than it stopped.

I also have clientprefs disabled (at least the .smx file). If anyone else has experienced this issue as well.

dale,

did you disable the clientprefs extension? clientprefs.ext.dll in the sourcemod\extensions folder. I'm not sure if disabling the extension will have any adverse affects though, but as long as none of your plugins use it since it looks like you're setup to use SQLite, you should be fine.

Hey there,

Actually I did not disable it because I use a bunch of plugins that require it. I have a store and I believe Zombie Reloaded requires it. Those plugins would no longer work.

you say you have other servers that have no issue, I wonder if something happened to your database?

Or I wonder if the store and ZR are conflicting? Has Richard (from ZR) put in his $.02 yet?
