Hello! I'm a bit desperate and I know this isn't probably the best place to ask this but has anyone compiled CSGO player models succesfully lately? Any good tutorials or advices? I've tried MilkShape, 3DS Max, StudioCompiler, GUIStudioMDL, studiomdl.... I'm trying to make VIP- and ADMIN-skins.

Why I think I failed:
- The tutorials are so outdated because they're for CSS and even CSS files are moved to common-folder. Not in my account's folder anymore.
- I'm new with models, 3DS Max and MilkShape so I don't fully understand what I'm doing.

If you can do some sort of tutorial "Compiling .smd in CSGO for dummies" (like me ) I would appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

I've never really compiled models, but didn't Valve switch to DMX files instead of SMD files a while back?

I'm not an expert on this, but if both source formats give the same output (extension) that can be read by source engine, it shouldn't matter.
