Due to a temporary issue, some of the builds have 0-byte GeoIP.dat files. You can replace it with one from an earlier build if you have plugins that rely on it.

I checked the filesize and its not zero and i tried 3-4 geoip versions. from 1.7.3. 1.8.0 and 1.9.0
All result in a crash when i join the server. When i remove geoip extension it works without crash.

Here is a stacktrace:

Unload GeoIP and see which plugins are affected by the unload (Console will print a list). Check those plugin specific threads for known issues.

There's nothing to be done.

The workaround is given above (replacing the GeoIP.dat with one from an earlier build or manually downloaded from Maxmind), and the next SM build will also automatically be fine as it was just a temporary issue.

Okay, but i bet something is wrong in this extension. A little mistake or so.

I found out that the extension crashes the server with this plugin: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=153275

My old GeoIP extension from 1.7.3 Bulid 5302 can handle it without crash.
There are much more plugins out there that causes crash with the new geoip extension.
Plugins that work like a charm for years, like connect announce causes crashes too.

In my opinion, yes geoip works, but it should not cause crashes with some kind of plugins.

What can i do? Is it because they are not compiled with 1.7 or what?

The problem isn't the extension. It's the data file loaded by the extension.

Another thing to note: The last code changes that the GeoIP extension got 2 years ago.
