yeah that is correct. If it cannot find the config it will use a different name which is an error message.

But I do not have a check that it can read the file. Make sure the file is readable.

Also make sure you dont have extra spaces in anywhere. I tried to check agaist that but there could be certian curcumstances where my check wont work.

the dll file,
we put it in the metamod plugins.ini file ?

its a module for amxx hence it goes in the modules folder in addons>amxx>modules and the name goes in modules.ini in addons>amxx>modules.ini

np, most of us were standing in same spot just a little while ago, not knowing jack about amx/x but time teaches some thing and others nothing

plugin worked great for me, except one problem.

when the bots leave, there names keep showing up.
i found it really weird, but the server would fill up, and the bots would leave.
all the players would keep playing, like normal, and then:

i would kill a guy called paul.
so the message in stats would show
onedamage killed bob
or i was killed by bob (instead of it being paul, the real players name), and he has 0hp remaining.

really weird.

yeah someone else reported that to me.... I have no idea.

The plugin kicks the players so I don't know how the names are being residual. Might be an issue with this old module in AMXx. Gotta wait for freecode to redo the whole thing for amxx 0.20

No error message, it seems to find and read the file. but still calls all the players unnamed.

try it with no botnames.cfg and see if you get the warning and then it should sue special names with a message in them...

also post your botnames.cfg so I can try it out.

Also, linux or windows?

Hey a quick question. I have used fakefull on our windows 2003 hlds and it works with out one problem. I just installed onto our linux system and hve major problems. As soon as i resart the server or map tl load up the new module the server crashes and won't restart without removing fakefull from the modules ini file. It just won't run. Can an one help?
