in HLSW settings theres a connections tab that has a button to test if your port 7130 is open. When I cant get logs it always shows this port closed. I havent had much luck manually opening a certain port, some router setttings have dmz zone that you put you ip in and remove the router firewall from your HLSW machine. Once applied logs come flowing in.

I doubt ports will open and close themselves randomly, though. It should probably be opened upon starting hlsw and closing when exiting the app, but sometimes it simply fails. I guess manually opening the port and having it always open is an approach. Dropping the firewall tho imo is a bad idea. Nice find, regardless.

Yes you are correct the right way of doing it is to open just that one port, much safer than dmz zone. I just havent spent the time to get that far with my new router setup software. Ive worn myself out trying to explain to our admins that when the logs stop coming, its not the server! I had overlooked the port test button in settings myself, that would have saved me some grief.

actually I just got the logs and when testing the port, site says it's closed, so that's not it

I can only get the logs if I test my port. It doesn't work if I don't do that, even with logaddress_add.

So, yeah. If you're not getting the logs, try and test your port and it might start working.

What worked for me in the past was this:

all was needed was to use this command:

logaddress_add xxx.xx.xx.xxx:7130 with opening ports 7130-7139 (e.g. PortForward.com) where "xxx.xxx.xx.xx" was your server's public IP

I recently do a reset to factory to my computer and after hlsw installation, i log in with my mail and password and ..... it work !!

Like before i'm now able to obtain log (internet) only by clicking the button.

I use HLSW 1.4.0.2

You have to use rcon and send logaddress_add yourip:7130 to your server

I think you believe that i was asking for help but it's not that.

I was telling that the log to hlsw with mail and password is working again.

i just made this post to say that we normally don't still have to do the "logaddress_add" tip.

I was doing that since almost 2 years, so i was really happy when i saw that put the mail and password in the launcher work again, cos now when i launch HLSW, i'm online and i only need to click on the "obtain log (internet) button to get the log.

It's may be the reason why there is a problem now with the "logaddress_add" tip with some people.
