[TF2] Change Waiting for Player Time Limit

Hey guys,

Is it possible to tamper the Waiting for Players timer to make it last longer? Or even cancel this preparation turn altogether when needed!?

I've done a quick search here on the forums but found little to nothing about the "Waiting for Players" turn.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the tip, friagram.

I searched a little and found out that the actual variable is sm_waitingforplayers_time.

But I got a Waiting For Players turn 3 minutes long when I set "sm_waitingforplayers_time 120". Couldn't quite find out what would be the cause.

Any ideas?

mp_waitingforplayers_time is the real cvar, but it's hidden:

Having said that, PropHunt sets it to 40 and it seems to work just fine... but keep in mind that PropHunt uses arena mode and not one of the standard game modes.
