Hey there, just created an issue on GitHub but figured I'd post here as well:

I use this plugin on about a dozen servers and noticed that it seems to rack up many MySQL connections. The servers go through a daily restart cycle, and about 12 hours into it I'm seeing over 300 separate connections.

I notice SetDBHandle (which creates the connection) is used twice - OnPluginStart and OnAutoConfigsBuffered, perhaps you can shed some light on this. I doubt this has to do with the aforementioned issue, but is worth noting as well.

utf8mb4 is used in the current version (MySQL only - SQLite doesnt support utf8mb4 and defaults to utf8). Please update to 1.3.5.
