When you execute "amx_unban sdgjsgnjdgfk" it will return "sdgjsgnjdgfk has been removed from the ban list" or something similar.

Please add a check that determines whether what we want to be removed is actually held in the ban list in the first place else "x isn't banned"..

I don't think you can. Not everyone uses banned.cfg for their bans. amx_unban is a direct wrapper around the unban server command.

Yeah, that was just an example. It's just so unintuitive since 'amx_unban STEAM_0:0:17' - or anything other than 'amx_unban "STEAM_0:0:17"' - will not work correctly. Is there no possibility there could be a '#define banned.cfg' or something similiar or is that sort of thing not included in the core package and should be reserved for a plugin?

there is no good way to actually do that. I mean you could parse the banned.cfg and search but on some servers this could be over 2000 lines.

amx_unban "STEAM_0:0:1232435"

just make sure your steamid is correct.
