I want to make a plug-in that lets you put on unusual effect only not the hat. This way you don’t need to own a hat in order to wear the effect. My question is, if I get started on this project, did valve block this as well like they did with the hats or is it ok. I'm only asking because I am beginner on this scripting stuff, I can do basic stuff but not full plugins and if I start on a project like this, I don’t want to have been a waste of time is there already something like this.

It's easy to attach the particle to the client but I in the least don't know how to stop the player from seeing their own effect.
