Not only, that SkyRPG always wants to re-create those columns, left 4 loaded has problems as well :/

I mean, it still runs fine (has some conflicts with the Perkmod, I think) but yea...those errors are strange.

But on the other hand, some positive Feedback:

SkyRPG is a really cool addition to my Server, since I like levelup things and the setup actually was pretty easy. It only confused me, that it specificly requires the database host to be the domain name instead of localhost and that it needs a port, but whatever.

I'm only now waiting for the SkyPoints PHP Add-on, to host a small site, where people can purchase SkyPoints.

I think I found another bug.

Since I have SkyRPG with Left 4 Loading and Stocks installed, I have unlimited ammo. This is really really strange...

About the ammo, it was included in the .sp file. You can edit that part out yourself.

EDIT: There were no actual bugs and Skyy applains it in his post below. I just got it totally wrong.

I found the issue, why I got unlimited ammo all the time and a 2nd Medpack. as well. I edited the sp files.

This fixed it for me, that I got 2 medpacks after grabbing one from my storage and a borked info display about remaining Medpacks (It always told me, that there are 71 medpacks left). The unlimited ammo thing hopefully is gone now as well...I just re-compiled the addon and will test it.

Uhhh... no.
The reason you were getting the extra medpack is you had meds enabled.
If you had simply edited the config file that the plugin generates, you'd notice these are all features of the rpg.

When a player uses a medpack, if there are remaining meds (not medpacks) it'll give the player another medpack. The reason for this is, if medpacks are one-time use items, they're worthless in this plugin, since this plugin has things like instant heal (which guarantees you full life, and a medpack doesn't) as well as incap protection, which guarantees you multiple free heals on incap.


You've really got to read through the config and play with it before you announce things are bugs. It's a massive rpg plugin, surely you expected there to be a lot of changes. And, as always, everything can be disabled, if you take the time to read through the config. It would have taken less time than actually editing the source.
Anything that can't be toggled on or off will be updated in a version allowing for it to be. But, please don't scream "BUGGGGG" when you haven't examined whether it actually is or isn't. There's a major difference between a plugin feature and an actual bug. False bug reports are never fun. Take the time to edit the config file and disable the features you don't want running. Once you've edited any part of the plugin, just realize I only provide troubleshooting support to the unaltered version.


You also were wondering why the error logs were throwing out about duplicate columns. Most people who use databases with sourcemod do so by providing a table dump, since the plugin doesn't generate the tables. This plugin generates the tables, so every time you fresh load the plugin, it attempts to create the table and columns. If they already exist, your errors log gets a spam of that. If they don't exist, your logs won't see anything. It's set up to add whether the column exists or not because it's not a game-breaking issue, and is at the bottom of a long list of updates that i am working on.

writing up a php page to give server owners an easier method of adding points to someones account is just something else that's on a list of things to do. you can always have people paypal it in, and manually edit their column in the database.

However, I'm not really sure what fixes you're waiting on for this plugin, since everything listed either doesn't affect the game in any way (such as the db spam notice in logs when you first load the plugin) and the other features you listed as bugs that aren't. If you could be more clear as to what you're waiting on, that would probably help. If it does turn out to indeed be a bug, I'll add it to the list of to do, but i don't read minds.

I will add in a toggle to enable or disable the unlimited ammo option, and make it more clear in the config how to disable meds, and I'll post 3.43 in a few minutes with that change.

I actually thought, that those "bugs" were bugs, because some entries in the CFG seemed to be not what I thought they would be. I will correct my post above accordingly.

The "fixes" I'm waiting for then are not needed anymore, since I just misunderstood some things. I will update to the newest revision right now.

EDIT:

Ah, one thing tho. It is not a bug, but on the Campaign "Dead Air", you cannot get yourself the Fire Axe, because the ENT is missing, or something along those lines. I can only get myself the Cricket Bat. I know, that this is not related to SkyRPG, but can something be implemented code-wise to still be able to get yourself the Fire Axe on this Campaign?

My Melee Level is 8 and I have 100.24% of experience in it.

at the start of each round, if you open up the challenge screen, it'll say something like "bonus xp xx physical xp and 1 random category" so when you survive a round, youll earn xp in two categories, one physical, and one random, which may sometimes bump you over the requirement (I once ad 145.12% xp after) but it will level you up as soon as you earn more experience.

So, yes, it's possible, depending on certain scenarios, to have more than the required experience, but yes, the next time you earn experience, any category over 100% will level up immediately.


thanks for posting the info on the ammo and meds. I had thought i had convars in there to fully disable them for users who wanted them, but now they're definitely there.



Also, just for visibility, for users who want to be able to see what other users are leveling up, I'm going to add a convar later on that lets server owners determine if all users leveling info is displayed to everyone, or only displayed to the individual. When you get to see other people leveling up, it sometimes creates a sense of union and excitement, much like in an mmo, when a fellow member of your party levels.

I installed the newest version and it runs flawlessly. I really really like it and thank you for clarifying it. I will look into the plugin and anything related to it before I post a "possible bug" again Just hadnt that much time to study the entire plugin's cfg due to testing n stuff.

There are not many people playing on my server right now, but the feedback is positive. All of them enjoy the plugin.

The ConVar, to see what others are leveling up sounds very interesting

It just means that when a player levels up, it'll say "Maxunit has reached pistol lv. 20" etc. to everyone in the server (on that team). Just a greater sense of other people are leveling in that world with you.
