Not exactly sure but I think the CS:S engine removes all weapons on round end. The map of course can specify weapons to spawn on round start. You might be able to find some plugin that can spawn weapons each round, but I don't think it could leave weapons where they are at already unless it kept track of where they were and respawned them in the same positions.

Also not 100% sure but I think the more entities you have on a map that need to be synchronized between the server and client the more lag you will have. On my test servers there is a huge lag difference between a map with few entities (such as fy_iceworld_orig) and one with 700-800ish (like de_dust2). I've crashed my server spawning too many weapons BTW (using ma_give, I was a little bored).

I think what ichthys meant was, if the don't disappear on round end, when should they disappear?

You can't leave weapons from round-to-round forever. Sooner or later you will either bog the network down with too many weapons, or the server will have problems with so many entities.

So, if they don't disappear when the round ends, when should they disappear?

Can what be done? Leave all the weapons in the game from round-to-round until you have so many weapons that the server gets slowed down to almost no fps and finally crashes? It probably can be done.

I'd say give it a timer w/ a cvar. If the admin feels like being stupid and leaving the timer disabled fine, but make the cvar so that it's value above 0 = the time in seconds (or minutes maybe?)
