When I am in school I am very limited regarding internet connection. I can't even connect to steam. This really bugs me, as I would like to use steam in the huge breaks we have.

Some sites are also blocked, these I can access using hidemyass.com but I cannot use steam though that obviously.

So to my question. Does anyone know a free VPN software? I already have cyberghost but that can't connect either, so I cannot log in and use the software.

I remember when I used your freedom. It works quite well.
I could play WoW with it at school when it was blocked, but I still couldn't get Steam to run.

Awesome, I tried that your freedom thing as it looked like it would work. The only thing is, when I run the installer, it tells me that it is not a valid win32 program. I use win7 on my laptop.

Thats why i asked.. I don't know how to run schools in your country but in Finland we like to actually study something instead of trying to install steam.

Well, I got it installed.

But I can't seem to get it working properly. It says I have to set up the proxy manually in the program I want to use the proxy with. This however, doesn't work. I set firefox to use the proxy I set, and to use the port. It seems to be working, as the page I get is "Closed usergroup bla bla bla something something", and I get this for all pages.
I did make an account, and I did get it running as it should. I even tried to use the auto setup for firefox to make firefox use this proxy via this program. This didn't work either, as my ip on www.myip.dk is still my origin IP.

Why can't you just get a program which just gets ALL internet traffic through a proxy? I mean, that should be possible.
