So I've been running cs 1.6 server for like a month now. But the problem I can't solve is that I can access files only when I am at my PC.
Which means I cannot edit any files while I'm not home. Also, I can't give head admins because they can't access files on my PC.

So I did some research and find out about "sv_downloadurl", or something like that, where I can upload files, let's say, on google drive and put that link into server.cfg ( sv_downloadurl "link to a host website")

Is that right and can you please explain to me how to do it?

The cvar sv_downloadurl is for fastdownload which allow the game server to get content from the server to the client faster.
But If I understand you correctly you are looking for a way to edit the game server files which are located on your local pc from outside your network and potentially give others the ability to do so?

Take a look at the File Transfer Protocol.
If your server is running on windows, filezilla is a very easy to use FTP software.

I looked into it, but my question is there maybe a website where I can upload cs files and in there edit them. Because as I figured it out everyone with Filezilla can access them so that doesn't help me that much because a lot of them don't even know what Filezilla is so they won't install it.

You will need to install a webinterface for that.

I'm not sure why you want so many people to be able to edit your files but windows can already use ftp without any additional software, it's just easier and comfortable. If you want to have the ability to edit the files from anywhere directly in your browser you will need some sort of web interface which will most likely also use FTP.

No, no I would be the only one who can edit them, but I would like to do it on any computer, which would be a problem because I would need to install FileZilla on every PC or device I want to edit it. Do I got that right?
