I joined your server, and all of the files downloaded correctly... models/player/chicken has 6 files for each team (ct/t) and materials/models/player/chicken has 2 files for each team (ct/t) and the sound file downloaded (in a previous post, I misquoted the number of files, sorry).

I was unable to see if the chicken's appeared in your server because it was only me and bots. I tried cl_minmodels in my test server and when I turned everyone into a chicken, they stayed as the human models for minmodels, when they died, their bodies disappeared where they normally are just dead ragdolls... I didn't test the dx 8.1 though because my client is locked at 9 and I don't want to mess with launch options because that normally causes issues.

What issues are you having? It won't play? The sound only plays when a chicken is killed.

Make sure you add it to your white list if you are running sv_pure

When it goes to play the sound it says it is missing from the dir/repository. I do have fast dl enabled. I checked my FTP for fast dl and sound is there as a .bz2. It is on the server as the .wav file. But I am still getting this as an error. Server is setup as sv_pure 0. So I should not even have to add it to the white list.

and you put the sound in the

sound/smchicken directory on both game and fastdl server? Does it download to your client?

I have it in the correct dir as well. It does download but I have yet to hear the sound itself. I have even added the file myself to my steam folder. I almost wounder if the bit rates are the incorrect ones?

the sound plays fine on my system, so the bitrate has to be correct... but you could always check that... or put a sound you know works, and just name it to the same sound and see if that one plays.

Plugin works fine.My bad...
Only proplem is my own screen/computer.I cant see chiken but everyone else can.

Glad to hear... now have a clucking good time with it

It's a great plugin for the first 'pistol' round... players always ask me for a 'chicken' round instead of the pistol round

Minor updates, now version 0.6. See original post for .ini file, sound files, material files, and model files. Updated plugin posted here and in the OP for this update

0.6 - fixed the bug where player's guns were turned to knives dropped after 
        they became chickens which caused knives to litter the map.
     - Added back #pragma semicolon 1
     - Changed the messages sent to players to be more aesthetic
Now the bug where a bunch of knives are dropped after being turned into a chicken has been fixed.

Went through the code and added the needed ";" where needed after adding #pragma semicolon 1

Messages now have [SM Chicken] and color to make it look better.
