CVARs should be put in server.cfg or amxx.cfg files rather than editing the source code (.sma file) as you can change them whenever needed but in the other case you will have to edit, recompile and reupload plugin to the server everytime when a change is needed.

Because they are not native HLDS settings. If they are only relevant to AMX Mod X then they should be with AMX Mod X. Granted, they tend to work there but there is still no logic to put them in server.cfg.

when the amxx cvars are put there, they only work the first time, when the server starts. so some people add a command (that I forgot) to force that file to be loaded every map change.
so the better way in the fysiks's one.

I can't remember sir since I'm disconnected from servers configuration. but the most important to know is:

• cvars related to the server itself (HLDS) --> server.cfg (or amxx.cfg).
• cvars related to the Amx Mod X itself --> amxx.cfg (is the better way).
