I have seen some metamod files that say they help to boost the server FPS ..

I currently have a CS1.6 linux Server with 1000 FPS

Does those files really work ? And if not can anyone help me with how should i increase the fps ?

Rule of thumb for sys_ticrate:

sys_ticrate 500 = 250fps
sys_ticrate 1000 = 512 fps
sys_ticrate 10000 = 1000fps (Max)
