I am working on moving some of my communities servers over to a new box. The box is a Xeon x3450 with 8GB of DDR3 RAM and a 500GB HDD.
The system is running CentOS 5.4 64-bit with a customized 2.6.30 kernel. Everything is looking good on the box, but unfortunately the servers are having issues starting and crashing between map changes. Everytime the servers crash they leave a core.XXXX file and I have no idea what to do with those. Lastly, I have noticed in HLSW is that the "Time Limit", "AddOns" and "Anti-Cheat" sections are grayed out. Also, the Zombie Escape server I have doesn't start at all unless I disable SourceMod. Same thing for issues with servers that crash on map change. They work fine, but fail to work with SourceMod enabled.
I tried testing a clean SourceMod installation on a untouched Counter-Strike: Source game server and it does the same. I also tested 1.3.2-dev and that doesn't alleviate any issues. I wouldn't typically be so quick to blame to SourceMod if it wasn't for the fact that the server works fine without SourceMod enabled.
Has anyone had this problem or can help shed some light? The core.XXXX files are about 200mb in size each and I'm not sure what to do with them. If they can help diagnose the problem, let me know and I will upload them on my server for access to anyone that can help. Thanks!
