Site ban is justified, he acted like a ass, trying to hurt everyone.
Patiance is the key, I talk alot to several people in here, but I always wait, even if it take a day, two or a week, cause people have real lifes, even if my issue is important to me.

Now Kigen is no longer a part of smac and have lost friendships over patiance, and arogance.

It had to be removed while AlliedModders work through their DMCA notices from Kigen.

In the meantime we should avoid posting download links to SMAC on these forums until it's sorted out. We don't want to risk taking the website offline just because of this section.

This whole thing should have been avoided from the beginning. He gave AM 2 months to fix it, even it took 1 month for it to be replied. This seemed to be very petty. Maybe he was an ass to you guys outside this thread but he was very polite and patient with you.

I am disapointed in both parties that they could not resolve their issues and continue a great project.

It was never on AM to "fix". SMAC was not created by nor is maintained by AM. We just provide a forum for it here. He was trying to get AM taken down despite that.

During the time given, it was not all silent. There was dialogue here back and forth albeit at a slow pace due to the project being developed in free time. The bitbucket takedown notice came about four days after the last bit of dialogue, in which progress was still being made.

He has been, including willfully violating the same license that he's trying to enforce.

I think hes butthurt that his anticheat was surpassed by smac, and this was the only way he could hurt it a litle.

The SMAC project consists of more than 50% of Kigen's code.

Whom ever was responsible for the current SMAC code should have left the copyright as it was.
Now how is the code supposed to be hosted?

He likes to keep saying that, but if you actually do a comparison, you'll quickly see that it's not at all true. The actual percentage is much lower. Large parts of the project have been rewritten with more to come.
