nice plugin guys! i was looking for a way to keep our servers a bit more secure and i hate it when cheaters join my server..
They ruin the gameplay! ;(

but now i'm not sure how your speedhack module works..
there are plugins like SM:GG or 1vs1 Knifefight where you get speed bonus like for 3 kills at GG or when you win the knifefight..
Is it safe when i use SMAC at my gungame-server or will anyone with speed-bonus get banned?!

I should start by saying that speedhack blocking was already enabled in past versions of SMAC for CS:S, DoD:S, and TF2. The only difference now is that it has a cvar and can work for all mods.

1) This module doesn't ban. It only blocks speedhacks from working.

2) No, this module will not interfere with plugins that speed up players.

best protection against speedhacks, no wrong bans possible - only blocking is as good as banning

I got a report on my Surf RPG DM server of one of my members getting banned for speedhacking when it was a glitch in the RPG mod.

Ive know about the glitch for a while and it has to do with the Adrenaline skill (definition from RPG mod - Allows you to turn tail and up the speed when in dire need. Gain a small speed boost for a limited time when damaged).

I was told when you are icestabbed and then frostpistoled all in a short manner of time, the speed boost sticks and it can even happen more than once in the same life so someone could be going insanely fast in this case.

Nothing has changed with this module, and it doesn't report to admins. Your admin likely thought this "speed boost" in your server was a speedhack and banned the player for it.

It's not compatible with my windows hl2dm server.. it spawned a ghost process as my host says and a simple restart of the server caused it to time out til the host did a hardware reset, therefore I can't use this module

Speedhack module blocks speedhacks, you didn't enabled bunnyhop banning, wallhack is blocking players that behind the wall. Read more before writing something like that.

Just lol. You should open your eyes before saying bullshit like that i said "banned or anything." So this plugins didn't block anything this why i post here to know where is the problem
