Seems like you don't know what you're talking about , I use it every day to check if models I made work ingame.

So first check if you use the latest STABLE versions of SM and MM , than check your modelfiles and your ini-files.....

using this with sm 1.7.2 and it works fine, so stop talking bullshit.
