i have no idea what im doing wrong but i need help from someone who knows what they are doing and did it before. i got a server with a bunch of custom maps and always ran one with regualr map and never needed to fast download server. so i went out and got a domain and 15/month web hosting. now whatever i do i cannot get this to work. I've tried just about everything. Ive created the "dod" folder under the domain name in ftp put all the sub folders such as maps, models, sound...etc but that doesnt work. i did it under the web host ip and that didnt work either. anyone willing to help me out it'd be appreciated

If you can't connect to your site's FTP, contact your host. If you can't get sv_downloadurl to work, are you doing it right?

There are tons of step-by-step guides out there, you just need to search for them. There is an okay on on the steampowered.com forums as well

Did you put them all under public_html? Or /var/www/html? /var/www? What's your website?

I think sv_downloadurl can only use http:// servers (but you can upload files to it via ftp)

Remember to put "Http://" infront of it or it will not let you download.
