Hello everybody, thank you for just start reading thread and feature answers.

I'm now finishing coding one in my view good module for metamod. I have some simple questions, please answer me, if you can:
1. If if modifying some of metamod, that I see is licensed under GNU GPL, what I need to add/change in top of file to permissions on that modified code. Do I just need to change that GNU GPL text, by just adding my copyright ?
2. Will GNU GPL license work for me if i'm not adult (17 years) ?

P.S. Sorry, english is not my native language, I continue to learning it.

I know I am not really answering your question here (I don't know much about these laws), but why would you change Metamod? Why make people install a new Metamod version when they want to install your module? Why the risk of breaking some other modules in the process? What is it that you need that current Metamod doesn't?

If I recall correctly... GPL licence allows you to edit the source code like you want and distribute it as you see fit, however your derived work MUST ALSO be GPL.

Maybe he wants to improve Metamod? Well, it's not like you can improve Metamod-P unless you plan to add better Sven Co-op support.

If this module and modification is for your own private use, you don't have to release anything.

If you're going to release it for public, you have to publish everything you modify that is already under GPL.

Regarding your changes, you should not change the copyright license because it belongs to the original development. You may add another text file or comments but the license should be keept as is.

Hasn't Solokiller done that already? I wasn't active at Sven Co-op forums for past few months, but I remember Solokiller releasing a Metamod-P version that works with their new engine. I don't remember if the source code has been released though.

If he didn't release the source, he is breaking the law.

Found it! I actually had it in my inbox on the Sven Co-op forums, Solokiller sent me this link:
http://forums.svencoop.com/showthrea...l=1#post512388

But you can see that's almost 4 months old, I totally forgot about it. lol
I don't know if there have been any updates to it.

It should work.
There were no big changes on SC's engine interfaces.

If anyone found it really doesn't work, send me a PM and I will check it with Solokiller.
