So, I've read through the thread, and done a search, and now that we've got that outta' the way, I will ask: is there a way to import sourcebans ip/id's to the server-side banned_user and banned_ip cfgs? Sourcebans is running fine now, and those lists have been wiped when we upgraded from 1.4.7, but I know next time I update we will have a down period and I want those lists on the FTP as well as a second-resource.

Or do i have to manually add them into the cfgs? I AM running:

Code:
exec banned_user.cfg
exec banned_ip.cfg
writeid
writeip
But this isn't writing anything to the configs (as I said, sourcebans IS working).

Is clicking "Export Permanent SteamID Bans | Export Permanent IP Bans" too hard?
It's just my opinion but having sourcebans also write to these files defeats the purpose of having sourcebans in the first place.

Oh my goodnessess. I want to kiss you. I don't know why that was so hard to find lol. I looked through EVERY page of the damn thing and finally saw it on the ban list page as a small link below all the bans.

This should work well

You can set the option in settings so anyone can download your bans, this can be usful for other server owners. As for your lists getting wiped on upgrade, thats odd.

I wanted to upload the cfgs to the ftp [that I exported] but someone told me that would 'break' my sourcebans installation.

...

So I just added a .BACKUP extension to them in case sourcebans does go down. But these files shouldn't interfere with sourcebans at all I don't think, so I'm definitely missing something here :-/

It wouldn't break, but if you decide to unban one of those permanent bans from SourceBans, you would have to remove it manually from the CFG.

The banned_... cfgs don't interact with the sourcebans/database at all, right? Just need confirmation because my guy is convinced if I touch them it will.
