Ive been looking at some server plugins and Im a bit confused. Are there two languages to write a script in? What I see looks like C++ but SourcePawn is mentioned several times. What is the distinction here?

Pawn looks very similar to C.

Depends what exactly you're talking about.

The sourcemod core (written in C++) provides a set of native functions to be used to make plugins. These plugins are written in 'SourcePawn' which is a modified 'Pawn' which is a simplified C derivative.

However you can also write your own extensions to Sourcemod (in C++) to add extra natives and access Source SDK features that arn't made available through the core set.
