The list of features continues to grow! I am pleased to announce that we now have added SQL administration plugins to the default package. This is a full port of the flat-file features (such as groups, inheritance, immunity, and overrides).

Documentation: http://wiki.alliedmods.net/SQL_Admins_%28SourceMod%29

Brief overview of the recent plugins added:
  • admin-sql-prefetch: SQL admin plugin, "basic" version
  • admin-sql-threaded: SQL admin plugin, "dynamic" version
  • sql-admin-manager: SQL admin commands
  • basefuncommands: "Fun" style commands such as slap and burn
  • basevotes: Basic admin votes (such as map, kick, ban, and "create your own vote")
  • basefunvotes: Voting for gravity, slay, alltalk, friendlyfire, etc

More documentation on all the recent plugins will come soon. In the meantime, you can use sm_help in the console.

Enjoy!

It`s a very interesting plugin. We`d like to use it. But we can`t .

The problem is, that we`ve got several servers.

Every server has got his own list of admins.

Some admins have the same rights on every server. Some admins have rights only on one or two servers. Some admins have rights on every server, but their rights differ on each server.

It would be very good if you could add an identity in the DB schema:
for example 1,2,3,4... for the specific servers and 0 for every existing server. This identity must be saved in databases.cfg

I think, I can correct this plugin in my own purposes some day, but I think, these changes may be very usefull for many people. It would be great, if you do it yourself.

khap: We're not going to add any feature like that yet because every person with a multi-server, different-admin setup tends to do things differently. The general rule here is: "If you need your own custom solution, write it yourself." I'll propose something though:

An optional "server_type" field to the "sm_admins_groups" table. If non-zero, the group will only be inherited if the "server_type" matches what's in core.cfg. Users would still become admins on non-servers, but you could give them an empty flag string by default so they have no permissions.

I like this solution because it makes use of groups and doesn't require an extra query anywhere. I could (also) add an "sm_admins_servers" table to join sm_admins to per-server but usage of it would be disabled by default.

If i understand you correctly... i think you are looking for a kind of 'admin manager' like: http://www.sourcebans.net

there is a demo here: http://demo.sourcebans.net
user: demo
pass: sbdemo

Hope this helps

Going off topic slightly, when sourcebans.net this going to be opening up for public ab-use ? I've got +100 people to add and they're getting lerrier by the day ;-)

BTW tested the majority of the votes this morning, managed to ban myself via a vote, so I guess thats working well LOL
