Interesting. Did the person with 500ping stay ingame for longer then two minutes? Was his latency consistently over 500ms? This is how long it takes the plugin to kick a client.

This works flawlessly for me on Seven production servers (They're all OB or L4D*).

Ratewatcher deals with static data. This is variable. While this plugin is a feature clone of many other things, when the server is having network issues. The end result is no one is kicked for something stupid that is out of their control

Regarding this plugin, would custom models effect the choke for people in any given way or do they not. I run a VS Saxton Hale server and 4 other servers and they all use custom models. I have no idea if they do or not because i do not in a given circumstance know but i'd figure i ask so i can get an answer.(lol)

I must confess that this post confused me a bit. However, Choke is relative to the clients FPS. Apparently if you're getting below a certain frame rate (9?) choke on clients will increase.

If the models that you're using are having issues, yes. It would increase choke on clients.

Thanks for this Kyle12, it causes so much rage on my server. But players gotta learn to stop/pause dem torrents before playing (and then bitching that the "server" is lagging).

Does this increase CPU usage?

It shouldn't. Nothing is terribly expensive.

I'm running this plugin with the defaults on my TF2 server. Right now there's a guy playing who has a ping of 325. His ping never changes in a big way and its always above the minimum default limit of 250. He has been playing for over 28 minutes and he hasnt been kicked. The server is TF2.

Why is this happening?

I'm using Metamod Source 1.9.0-dev Build 746 and Sourcemod 1.4.0-dev Build 3257.

Shouldn't make a difference which game this is on. Where'd you get his ping from? The scoreboard isn't accurate at all.
