Hi guys !

I'm trying to use a function to play sounds in cs:go. I used the sourcemod functions EmitSound, EmitSoundToAll and EmitSoundToClient but no one of these seems to work (I tried with a simple sound file in .wav and .mp3 ).

So does anybody have been able to use these functions in cs:go ?

The function works... getting the sound to be heard by the client on CS:GO is another story... unless you put your sounds in a custom .vpk and get that to the clients (which have built in audio cache), the clients won't hear your sound, unless they execute the snd_rebuildaudiocache command, which takes about 2 minutes or so, depending on your system...

In case of no, how to make the vpk?
How it work to play a selected sound?

just put you mp3 in sound\music\YOUFOLDER\

I noticed this on GG for CSGO, great finding Altex!

Custom sounds work with no problems.

the only issue i found is that the sounds work only in mp3 format, wav does not work
