#1141

Is there a way to specify this mod to look for mysql.sock in different location, because mine is located in
Code:
/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
not in /tmp.

That didnt answer my question.

Is there a way to specify/edit this mod to look for a different location of the mysql.sock instead of the "/tmp"

EDIT:

I found someething wierd.... i dont know if "mysqld.sock" is the same as the "mysql.sock" .... See, the difference is the letter "d"
So, the error that the sourcebans is giving me is that is looking for "mysql.sock" in the folder /tmp
what i have is "mysqld.sock" not mysql.sock
are they the same thing?

this is "my.cnf" file in /var/run/mysqld

Code:
#
# The MySQL database server configuration file.
#
# You can copy this to one of:
# - "/etc/mysql/my.cnf" to set global options,
# - "~/.my.cnf" to set user-specific options.
#
# One can use all long options that the program supports.
# Run program with --help to get a list of available options and with
# --print-defaults to see which it would actually understand and use.
#
# For explanations see
# http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/se...variables.html

# This will be passed to all mysql clients
# It has been reported that passwords should be enclosed with ticks/quotes
# escpecially if they contain "#" chars...
# Remember to edit /etc/mysql/debian.cnf when changing the socket location.

# The following values assume you have at least 32M ram

# This was formally known as [safe_mysqld]. Both versions are currently parsed.

Yes it does. As I said it's a server specific error and has nothing to do with L4D. The link explains that you need to edit the socket line under [client] in /etc/my.cnf.

Again...any reason why people who are banned on our TF2 servers are not being kept out of our L4D servers? SB is saying they are "Not Banned" in the logs, when they in fact ARE.

Gee...no kidding.

I thought that had been handled by Sourcemod v1.2 though.

Yea, but the Steam IDs are probably stored in their entirety in your MySQL database. Including the STEAM_0 which does not exist in L4D (It's always STEAM_1 instead)

No, admin Steam IDs are handled by SM 1.1 and 1.2. Ban Steam IDs are handled by SourceBans so there's no fix for that yet.

Anyone have any clue how you set up different server access for admins? Ie. So the same admins would have "xxx" flags in TF2, but then in DODS would have "xxx" flags set.... How do you do that? I dont get what youre supposed to do with the server groups part..
