MOTD Displaying page after delay

Not really sure if this is SM related or not. But is anyone else having issues where you try to load a website through your MOTD screen, either using a !backpack plugin or something like webshortcuts, only for it to not load that page for about 10 seconds or more? It will just show whatever the last displayed page was, before finally loading the one you requested.

Is this an engine bug or is there some way I can speed this up?
