What happened to L4D 12 survivior mod

I saw a couple days ago a reference to some kind of Metamod plugin that would allow more than the standard 4 survivors in Left4Dead

Could anyone explain what happened to it? The references keep leading to 404's now...

Or maybe show me where it moved to?

No, hes talking about some article on another site that showed how to have 12 survivors in Left 4 Dead. The link to it seems to be down so thats probably what hes referring to. Its a matter of using various SM plugins, and changing cvars and so on.

Sounds difficult, why cant valve make it easier for us haha.
