I've done some research and seems the codecs have been changed, so in-game voice playback is not picked up. Wondering if there are solutions to this nowadays? Every thread on this seems to be quite old, or lacking solutions if there even are any.

And yes I have tried blockvoice 0, sv_alltalk1, and some of the other outdated commands sv_voicecodec voice_speex, voice_miles, sv_voicequality 3, etc...

Any ideas?

Are you talking about Clientside-Demos or HLTV-Demos?

On HLTV-Demos. Trying to capture audio through HLTV on a local server, but mic audio seems to be missing when I watch them back in game.

I remember this working as long as sv_alltalk is set to 1. It's been a long time since I worked with an HLTV and I'm not sure if it was before or after the codec changes.

Weird. I've tried sv_alltalk 1 to no avail.

Don't suppose there are any pre-codec changes betas at this point through official steam cs1.6. Maybe some not-so-official versions pre-changes, but not sure where to source that securely lol.

are you using any metamod plugins that affect voice data? show your meta list.
