You don't need srcds to do this, just make the file "objects.txt" or extract it from the gcf, and place it in the cache folder.

srcds is just an extracted form of the tf2 dedicated server.

It would be really cool if this could be done in a plugin, so you can turn it on and off dynamically. If its impossible, then so be it.

yea but this resets every update, or well it does for me

every update i got to manually go in and re-do it all

Backup a copy of it, paste it over after update. You'd be wasting someones time if you made them make this plugin.

So by your logic, nobody should use stripper source and we should go back to modifying the .bsp's to change map entities.

If you dont want to code it, then don't code it. If its impossible to modify it in a plugin, then that's more of a compelling argument founded in logic, not an argument based on opinion of what people want. And even then, if you're not the one doing it, why should you care?
This is a request forum, we're making requests. If nobody wants to pick it up, no problem, we're just making requests, I look at all of this like everyone doing the community a favor anyway, and I'm grateful for all the work that people do. If its fun for someone to pick up this plugin, then just let them. If nobody wants to try to do it, no problem either.

@fireblade: what do you mean by for example 2 sentries for Red? Is that really the maximum Red could build, or do you mean 2 sentries per player that's on Red?

That involves coding, editing a TEXT file requires no coding. Therefore, your point is nulled.

And I'm saying its a bit of a waste of a plugin to make one for something you can already do easily.
