this is what i use for my own server [ 100 mbs ] with sys_ticrate 400

i think you can use ticrate 400 without any problems too.

as i said, you can try it with 400. if you have laggs or you hit or make damages badly, try it with 100.

I'm running 2 TF2 servers, 1 CSS server as well as a number of other services (http daemon) on a server with the following specifications (the server is virtualized, so cut the CPU back a little bit):

* i7 920 2.6GHz
* 3GB RAM
* 100MBit connection

I'm curious about the best rate setup for each of the servers, so if anyone would be willing to help out, it'd be appreciated.

Try to use sys_ticrate less than 1100 and without pingboost !!!!

I have TGCW server with stable 1000FPS (rating on fpsmeter.org is 100% perfect)
I am using:

sv_maxrate 25000
sv_minrate 9999
sv_maxupdaterate 101
sv_minupdaterate 20
sys_ticrate 1005
pingboost completly OFF

Do not use boost your server with sys_ticrate, because sometimes you will shooting to enemy, any your bullets will pass through them.
This is, because you have some leaks of your server due high sys_ticrate

cl_updaterate "28" - bullshit (LOWRATE)
ex_interp set to 0 and will be automaticly adapted to server where you are.
