I'm having an issue with downloading maps on my dedicated server from vilayer hosting. Can't ask
support from the hosting service because they never respond.

About the error.. Whenever I try to load a map on my server I'm getting an error:

missing map\surf_summer.bsp, dissonecting

in my server.cfg using these commands

sv_forcepreload 1
sv_downloadurl "http://174.31.172.37/csgo"
sv_allowdownload 1
sv_allowupload 1

Gives me the missing map prompt up on loading the map surf.summer:

Downloading maps/surf_summer.bsp.
Error downloading maps/surf_summer.bsp
Downloading maps/surf_summer.nav.
Error downloading maps/surf_summer.nav
Missing map maps\surf_summer.bsp, disconnecting

My downloadurl might be wrong, but how can you check what is your link?

ps. There is a FTP link on my hostingpanel that looks like this: ftp://174.31.172.37:8421/.
Typing this url in my browser actually sends me to my serverfiles. However entering that url as downloadurl doesn't work either.

Your link doesn't even respond. Are both the maps in your server and fast dl? How big are these maps?

Both of these should be 0:
sv_allowdownload 0
sv_allowupload 0

Not sure what this does but I doubt you need it: sv_forcepreload

For fastdownload you will need a service that is using the HyperText Transfer Protocol like a web server.
However for maps I would recommend you to host them directly from the workshop.

That's right, it doesn't respond because I just changed the IP because i didn't like to post it on a public form. But I secured it with name and password now. This is the link: ftp://178.32.172.35:8821/
Now usually people have something like http://<ipaddress>.<hostingname>.com/ as their sv_downloadurl. The only way I am able to access my server directory is with this link: ftp://178.32.172.35:8821/. So I'm not sure what I should actually use. Nothing seems to work. I was hoping you could suggest something.

About your question how big are the maps, summer is quite big. But tried a smaller one after that one about 40mb. Still no succes unfortunately

I know about HTTP. I have a host that provides me their webserver. Entering this link ftp://178.32.172.35:8821/ in my browser I can access my server directory.

Now usually people have something like http://<ipaddress>.<hostingname>.com/ as their sv_downloadurl. ps. I would obviously ask my hosting support for help. but it's vilayer. Their support either doesn't exist or still has to respond from my e-mail and messages a week ago.
