hey antithasys,

i fail to get the plugin to work

in the list of plugins, simple team balance is reported as malfunctioning.

Also the "/cstrike/cfg/sourcemod/simpleteambalancer.cfg" is not created!

That's a lot of errors in your log.

The one that pertains to STB is about convar's. Try the latest build on the project site. I added error code to stop that problem. Your config file is not being created because the plugin has never started correctly.

Does mp_autoteambalance need to be disabled?

No. This plugin takes control of that cvar for various reasons.

stb_convarcontrol - Enable or Disable the control of builtin console variables

If you don't want it to take control, set that to 0.

Also, from the FAQ on the first post:

Q: Does this replace the built-in autobalancer? A: Yes. Q: Do I have to disable the built-in autobalancer? A: By default this plugin takes control of the console variables that control the built-in autobalancer and team balance limits. I have never been a fan of forcing changes to servers with plugins without the ability to turn it off. Therefore stb_convarcontol can turn this off. But I highly suggest you leave it on.
