Heyy. My question is about Fast DL.

Is it possible to use my own vds (where the game server is hosted) for FastDL but to use domain that is hosted on another hosting

Basically I got own VDS but I have hosting and domain at Ionos.
And I want to store the Fast DL files on my VDS because its 1gbps connect (and use the domain that is hosted on some other hosting)( this is so the download would be fast) unlike where I would put files onto Ionos hosting (where the domain is) is just too slow.

Basically what Im trying to say is: Is it possible to put FastDL on VDS so the files would be downloaded from there (instead of storing files on the hosting where domain is parked), but to use domain that is parked on the other hosting.

So is it possible to do that and how ?

Since I host my maps on an external webserver I am not be right about this but you could put Apache on your VDS and use fastdl that way.

Sure its possible
You don't need a domain just a web server that is accessable via http request from the internet.
So just install any web server and put the content in the www/htdocs folder and check if you can access it via your browser. If yes add the fastdl cvar with your link to your server.cfg
