Question about smac_autotrigger.smx

I've got a fair amount of trigger: Auto-Fire for this one particular guy.

8 triggers in a vanilla versus
12 triggers in a modded versus that has perks mod (double-tap)

They are across 3-4 days with rougly 2-3 logs per day.

I was thinking at first that because of the perk - double tap, SMAC was detecting it as auto-firing because double tap as those who use perkmods know, fires the bullets at a higher rate.

But I myself have used the double tap perk to test this out and in no way did i get detected.

After which when I saw that the vanilla versus too has these detections of the same guy,

I'm not sure whether is it confirmed that this guy is using a script?

I do not wanna straight away ban someone just because SMAC log shows something (perhaps it was a false positive)

Can anyone advise me?

That many autotrigger detections are definently not a false positive. The autotrigger module has were strict rules for it to be triggered and even one detection is practically impossible to get unless you're cheating. If only a couple of guys are getting those detections that also pretty much rules out the possibility of an bug so they are definently cheating and if they're using autofire they're most likely also using wallhack and other kinds of hacks.

thanks for your reply. I've changed the smac.cfg to automatically ban those who trigger smac_autotrigger.smx now.

Since after reading the wiki, which said "The detections should be immune to natural human behaviour, but may be triggered by players using advanced scripts and aliases."

I'm convinced to ban this guy and the other players who use these scripts!

EDIT: I had a friend who got banned for bhopping in my server. He doesn't use scripts and i know it cause i was there with him. He does quite a number of hops and gets detected. I've set it to detect and log and removed auto ban (which i set to ban earlier)
