What kind of server do you have?

I have steam hlds server.

I think server.cfg is not executing

When I try to manually execute server.cfg I got:

Unable to open logfiles under logs/L1204
Logging disabled
exec band.cfgg: not a .cfg or .rc file

and when player connects to server:

Ignoring custom decal from player

exec band.cfgg: not a .cfg or .rc file

Youre not executing server.cfg, youre executing "band.cfgg" and its invalid extension

This line, "exec banned.cfg" Should be placed in your server.cfg file. If the file "banned.cfg" doesn't exists create it in your /cstrike folder. Launch the server again. FYI if you are able to use rcon in game then your server.cfg file is executing.

Once you rcon_password (password) in you can manually set it by using rcon hostname "ServerName" see if that works for you.

Also keep in mind if you are using +hostname "ServerName" in your command line it's one or the other. Remove from command line or use it on your server config only.

When I type 'exec server.cfg' I get that message.

Are you running this on Windows or Linux?

Based on the server.cfg you shared it doesn't seem like its typed incorrectly.

Something doesn't seem right do you have a autoexec.cfg in your cstrike folder? If so check out what's inside of it.
